O2 Consulting proudly supported Vital Strategies in organizing a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Community Engagement for the Development of Integrated Low Emission Zones (Kawasan Rendah Emisi Terpadu / KRE-T). This initiative was conducted as part of the Large-Scale Social Collaboration (Kolaborasi Sosial Berskala Besar / KSBB)program, under the Air and Water Cluster, in partnership with the Environmental Agency of DKI Jakarta Province.
Air pollution remains one of the most pressing challenges in Jakarta, posing serious risks to public health and the overall quality of life. In tackling this issue, communities play a vital role—not only as observers and liaisons to the public, but also as active agents of change on the ground.

Attended by 30 participants—including community representatives, media, and environmental research institutions—the FGD served as an open dialogue space to exchange ideas and perspectives. It aimed to explore the role of community interventions within the KRE-T framework, anchored on inclusive and locally driven principles.
This collaboration marks an important first step in designing a contextual, inclusive, and sustainable strategy for low-emission zones in Jakarta, with community engagement at its core.
